E-Books For Musicians
I did some research in specialized music
forums about the ambitions and middle to
long term goals of musicians. I must confess,
I wasn't too surprised in discovering that
the two principal objectives of those who
wished to make a career with music was to be
rich and famous.
Sure, there were many others, including
having their work recognized, release a CD,
play before a larger audience, produce good
music, etc. But, at the end of the day,
being rich and famous appeared in first and
second place.
I say that I wasn't surprised, because for
fifteen years I was a vocalist in Europe,
earning a comfortable living. Nowadays, with
my hair turning ever greyer I can see
youngsters in search of the same objective.
To have your own band is already a big thing
for a youngster starting out on the road.
But for the more serious musician, dedicated
and experienced, just having a band, is not
enough.
Another thing that I noticed, is that there
are many music schools that teach you how to
make music, but there is a terrible lack of
solid information about how to manage your
music, the band, your business, your
marketing (important phases on your road to
success).
Because of this, I wrote a couple of e-books
exactly about this subject, called:
"Marketing Your Music - First Steps" &
"Marketing Your Music - Success Strategies".
The first e-book "Marketing Your Music -
First Steps" is free and more basic, rich
with information on administration, how to
form a band, how to select your repertory,
your rights as a composer, care to be taken
with recording studios. Just this version
alone is already a book worth every penny
(it's free!).
The other e-book, "Marketing Your Music -
Success Strategies", is more advanced,
delving deeper into the marketing of you and
your music, and also the administration of
your business. Your music and your band.
